Hobbs Second Serious Wreck Within 24 Hours
Four people were involved in a crash just outside Hobbs on the Denver City Highway at the SR 132 118 crossroads. A car ran a stop sign and struck a 1946 diesel tractor trailer, killing two women instantly and injuring an elderly man and a young woman. The truck driver William Bebee of Odessa was uninjured.

Final Rites for Charlotte Townsend After Lamesa Tragedy
