Henry L. Stimson, 83, Republican elder statesman who served as Secretary of War under Taft Roosevelt Truman and Secretary of State under Hoover, died Saturday in West Hills New York after a heart attack. Reddy Receives Diamond Emblem for 20 Years at Southern Union
Edward C. Reddy, manager of Southern Union Gas's southeastern New Mexico district including Lovington, was awarded the company's diamond emblem for 20 years of continuous service. Dallas president C. Funeral services for Fred G Healy a former state highway engineer and longtime Highway Department employee were held in Santa Fe on Monday. The 64 year old died in Albuquerque Saturday morning after retiring as urban highway engineer last May following his October 1946 replacement. Services took place at St Francis Cathedral with the Rosary recited at Memorial Chapel Saturday night. Highway Department offices remained closed until 10 30 a m Monday.
