Final Rites Held For Mrs Orrell
Final rites for Mrs. John H. Orrell were conducted Monday at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Houston officiating. Interment followed at Lovington Cemetery. Born March 12, 1876, she died May 26, 1950, in an Albuquerque hospital after illness while visiting her sister. Her husband John H. Orrell had died several years earlier. they were early Lea County settlers.

O J Bohanan Improves After Stroke
O J Bohanan of Hobbs is in General Hospital after a Friday stroke. He is reported to be some improved but still very ill. He is 22, son of Mr and Mrs O J Bohanan of 413 N McKinley Hobbs and an American Food Store employee. His wife and Mrs Ray Hendricks rushed to the hospital from Lubock after learning of his illness. Parents plan to move him to another hospital when stabilized to consult a specialist.
