Lovington High School Varsity Band to Perform March 19
Lovington High School will present its 1952-53 Varsity band concert Thursday March 19 at 7 30 p m in the school gym. Sixteen seniors and fifteen first chair players will perform under director F John Pulman Jr with a crowning of the Band King and Queen and a vocal and piano solo. Admission is 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for students with proceeds benefiting the band activity fund.

Girl Scout Cookie Sale Starts at 1 Today
At one o clock today the city siren marks the start of the annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale to benefit the local and area camping funds. Vendors in the door to door campaign offer chocolate and vanilla cream cookies with the Girl Scout trefoil for 45 cents per box of 22. Three cents from each box goes to the selling troop and 42 cents funds go to the camps.

Riviera model home open house draws four thousand visitors
An estimated four thousand people attended the Riviera model home open house held Saturday and Sunday in the Shelton addition. The four bedroom house by Lovington Homes Inc features an outdoor living room tile floors flush mahogany doors and plumbing for automatic washers. The Shelton Agency reports selling 32 Riviera homes in the first day and a half of showing. Bill and Dickey Shelton and Clayton Melby answered all construction and design questions.
