Landshire business brisk as homestead filings rise with several desert filings noted. Big Well expected soon with modern machinery financed by Lovington’s leading merchant. Water flow prospect improves, reducing unverified chatter. Trees purchased to establish orchard portions of the land.
One bale of Lovington cotton sold at Seminole last Saturday brought $8.30 per hundred, five cents above the price of other cotton sold that day.
The Colorado River basin is described as a river of immense industrial and natural value. It spans from the Rocky Mountains through parts of Colorado Wyoming Utah New Mexico Arizona Nevada to the Gulf of California. The region includes fertile lands in western Colorado and eastern Utah and encompasses the Grand Canyon.

Mrs. Gertrude Patterson is out with a pistol and may join Kansas tar parties or Tennessee nightriders or appear in a cheap show as an American heroine. It would be wise for her next husband or companion to wear armor against her.
