Lefty Wilkins of Ysleta Texas won the $1000 purse in the matched calf roping at Sun day s Rodeo. Fred Darnell of Rodeo New Mexico was the runner up with times of 167.7 and 169.9 seconds respectively. Wilkins broke the barrier on a later calf and Darnell faced misfortune on calf six.
