Thief Ring Busted as Youths Admit Burglary Spreadover Three Counties

Deputies traced break ins to Floyd Johns and Denen in Virden and Clifton area homes. Three youths identified as Don Cletus Mullens and Key Wright admitted entering seven residences, recovering much loot. Suspects, from Greenlee County, held on charges as investigations extended to Deming and Las Cruces.

Special Provision For Survivors Of Deceased Workers

Samuel C Anthony manager of the El Paso social security office announced a new Social Security provision for survivors of deceased workers. The rule assists those previously ineligible because the work was not insured under the old law. Eligible survivors must have at least a year and a half of work and the worker died between 1939 and August 31, 1950. contact the El Paso office promptly.

Mrs. W. F. Winters of New Mexico is named by National President Mrs. P. A. Laringson to serve on the National Executive Committee women of the American Legion Auxiliary.
