In August 1918 U S Marines pursuing bandits in Banto Domingo paused at a native house. A woman hosted them then bandits attacked. Two marines were wounded while about thirty seven outlaws were killed or wounded. The ambush ended with several horses and weapons seized and the house owner captured.
