The Hidalgo County Chamber of Commerce will be perfected Friday afternoon at the Vendome Hotel. The organizers urge a large attendance from Lordsburg and all county communities, stressing the group as the most important county body yet and calling for united effort.
Mrs. Nystrom and her daughter Marguerite, after a pleasant summer with relatives in Michigan, returned last week and say they are glad to be in the land of sunshine again.
The author describes Juramentado rites such as head shaving and baths before an oath, and post oath acts to retard bleeding. He recounts Moro willingness to kill with a bolo, pig offerings to bar paradise, and various tribal customs. Frank R. Coon president of the First National Bank sits the President's Chair of the New Mexico Bankers Association during the annual meeting in Santa Fe. Mrs. Coon accompanies him as the couple is honored this week in Lordsburg.
U S Marshal A H Hudspeth, famed as a crack officer of the southwest, has been in Lordsburg for several days on official business and has not yet turned his office over to his successor.
Louis Garl Flick a ranchman near Willcox and Miss Katie Hulsey of Dos Cabezas wed in a Monday morning ceremony at the Court House officiated by Rev. M. O. Williams. The Sew and So Club was entertained by Mrs. L. R. Boyd yesterday afternoon.
Engineer Conroy and team near completion of survey for government project No 87 extending from Grant county line east to project No 44 between Lordebure and steins. The 62 miles of Federal aid road in Hidalgo county surpass many counties.
Great Eagle Fluor spar Mine manager Behaber hires F. L. Kura an engineer from Republic Tron & Steel Co Birmingham Alabama for the staff. The addition promises efficient operation and no lag at camp.
Rh Bd Ownby and Jack Heather departed Sunday night for Santa Fe to attend the K of P Grand Lodge. W FE Holt followed the next day for the same event.
Well known optometrist and optician Dr Schell will be at the Vendome Hotel in Tucson this Friday September 9th for one day only. Special attention to children's eyes and accurately fitting lenses guaranteed.
Regular meeting at Mre Lockwood home on September Std with Mrs Chase presiding. The Child Welfare Committee chairwoman Mrs Coyle spoke, followed by a reading by Mrs L H Jones. Dues paid as the meeting adjourned. Knights of Pythias granted consent for hall meetings.
The Lordsburg schools boast an unusually fine group of teachers this year. The Liberal planned to comment on each one next week. The editor left for Santa Fe Monday night to attend the Pythian Grand Lodge and could not file this week.

The Royal Boys Class of the Christian Church held a social hour at the home of Edward Conner Saturday night. Twenty four attended, not all were boys.

A State Auditor report dated September 6 1921 confirms County Treasurer Mr Graham’s records Jan 1 to Aug 31 1921 were in excellent condition. It notes a balance discrepancy of 1700.23 due to outstanding checks and bank failure liabilities, with suggestions to authorize the state traveling auditor to act as agent to pursue settlement with bond issuers.
The Rodeo Rollers beat the Bearcats in a hard fought game despite Gate’s 19 hits yielding only 6 runs. Rodeo’s eight hits pushed them around the bases as Old Timer manager A. Lockwood plans a next match if finances allow, with a long lineup and colorful comments from Neilly and Voss.
