Hurley Ties Lordsburg in Tough 6-6 Clash

Lordsburg and Hurley battled to a 6-6 tie at Hurley, the hardest game of Lordsburg’s season. Archie Caustland starred for Lordsburg with a 40 yard kickoff return and a key end run for the touchdown. The public is urged to attend Friday’s game against Deming second team at 2:30 with 60 cent adult and 25 cent child admission.

Bright Boy Gone: Marelos Child Dies at 13

Velex Marelos, 13, son of Macedonio and Maria Marelos, died Tuesday morning and was buried yesterday at four o clock in Shakespeare Cemetery. The funeral was from the Catholic church with Father Power officiating. Felix had been ill for nine months despite every effort to help him. He was a bright student loved by teachers and classmates.

Spanish American Wedding Unites Miss Gandara and Miss Fierro

Miss Maria 8S. Gandara and Ygena cio Fierro of prominent Spanish American families married Sunday at 11 AM in a Catholic church celebrated by Father Richard Power. A reception and elaborate dinner followed at the Gandara home with a formal evening baile. Six bridesmaids and elegant costumes highlighted the celebration.

Star Theatre Week Aline Up Has Historical Film Oddities
