Chamber Board Approves Lodger Tax Partnership Plan
The Chamber of Commerce board approved a lodger tax deal with the city. Fifty percent of tax income goes to the chamber, twenty five percent for tourism promotion, and twenty five percent for city approved projects. The city receives the remaining fifty percent for recreation plus a one to two percent admin fee. The plan goes to the city council with changes.

Lodger's Tax Collected In Lordsburg Hotels
The city collected about $3,650 in lodger's tax from tourists staying in Lordsburg motels and hotels. City Clerk Lure Rivera says roughly $1,945 came in July and $1,705 in August. Funds will be shared with the Lordsburg Chamber of Commerce for community promotion.
