Local Epilepsy Chapter To Be Formed In Silver City

A four county Epilepsy Foundation of America chapter will form in Silver City at the Public Safety Building on Thursday October 7 at 7 30 PM. Dale Strong of Albuquerque will speak. The chapter will serve Grant Luna Hidalgo and Catron counties and be governed by the SWSH board with staff handling administration.

Lordsburg to Dedicate New Modular Medical Clinic

Plans for an open house and dedication ceremony for a new modular medical clinic in Lordsburg are set for Saturday Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. The clinic, arriving midweek, will be south of Hidalgo General Hospital with speeches by local dignitaries and invitation extended to the public.

Surprise Resignations Shake Lordsburg City Council

Two officials, Police Chief C C Slick Gray and Ward Four councilman Danny Gomez, submitted letters of resignation at the Wednesday meeting. Gomez resigns effective immediately. Gray will depart November 1. Mayor Ted White announced the moves with council approval enabling a replacement appointment.

Emergency Certificate Granted for Ms Frankie Fitzhugh
