Lordsburg School Board Holds Round Table Discussion
The Lordsburg School Board met briefly for a round table on building program specifications. Dr. Joel Price urged a feasibility study covering space use and educational needs, with input from teachers, and noted few architects have the right knowhow though UNM and UNC offer services potentially at $5,000 to $10,000. The board plans to invite an architectural firm next month as enrollment has fallen 30 percent in ten years and more in‑district vocational training is desired. Charles Hayes reported district test results with language highest and reading lowest, detailing weaknesses in vocabulary and math memory skills.
