Animal Students To Call On Businesses Carnival Drive

Our high school invites local business support for the annual School Carnival set for October 12 from 6 30 to 10 00 p m. The event funds transportation meals lodging and athletic expenses for basketball volleyball baseball and track. Students will visit businesses next week to collect donations or articles for prizes.

AAA warns a $200 million cutback in Federal-aid highway spending defies Congress as per the 1968 act. AAA says the trust fund is separate from general revenues and taints highway safety efforts by delaying interstate completion and increasing disruption to outlays. The organization urges adherence to Section 15 to avoid political headlines and further postponement of critical highway projects.

About 100 freshmen at Western New Mexico University attended a 5 20 a m come as you are breakfast hosted by the Home Economics Club. They enjoyed ham pancakes apple sauce chocolate milk and coffee in the home economics department building.
