Monday about 8 05 The driver Helen en 24 of Rock Springs ning received a citation later reduced. Mrs Knudsen accompanied her four small children though the car suffered extensive damage and no one was injured.

State Game Commission Seeks License Fee Increases
The State Game Commission proposes higher hunt ing and fishing license fees to cover rising game management costs. Fishing licenses would rise more, with resident licenses slated for 3.50 to 6.25 and new ten day license at 10, while hunting fees would increase from 4 to 5 for birds and 5 to 7.50 for big game. Department director Lada Gordon says higher fees would allow more hunting and fishing access.

By-Pass Group Meets Governor Over Lordsburg Project
A twelve town by pass association met in Santa Fe with Governor Campbell to ease friction with the highway department. Ira Smith and State Senator Emmett Hart led the group as they discussed reopening talks with the highway commission and a staged meeting plan. A Bureau of Public Roads representative visited Lordsburg to study rebuilding the project through town. The main question is how the work will be done.

Born January 28 1877 in Coryell County Texas, he died October 1 in Lordsburg after a short illness. Survived by son John Austin Jones granddaughter Janelle sister Mae Jones and many relatives. wife Lillie Hamner Jones died in 1924. Burial at Mountain View Cemetery beside his wife.
