Teddy the terrier returns to Lordsburg after two month disappearance

Mr and Mrs R E Witherell vacationed at Dano Point California when their wire haired terrier teddy vanished. R W Quackenbush later reported teddy was spotted following two women. The Witherells retrieved teddy on returning to Lordsburg and found a Scotty adopted in the household, making two dogs in one family.

CCC Enrollees Start Return Home in Lordsburg Area

A number of CCC enrollees from all Lordsburg area camps who have served for some time began returning home on Wednesday. They will be replaced by others, and none of the camps will be abandoned.

Camp DG-43-N in Animas Praised by Investigator

Special Investigator A. W. Stockman and Capt. Gus Schattenberg praised Camp DG-43-N Animas New Mexico after a rigid inspection. Commanded by Lieut. Ewell L. Kelly the camp has improved since April and focuses on fire safety, enrollee welfare, erosion control, dam building, road maintenance, rodent control, fencing and education for enrollees with over 34 000 man days of labor.

The Knights of Pythias of southern New Mexico and southern Arizona held a picnic and barbecue at Cave Creek last Sunday. About 250 to 300 Pythians and families attended with addresses by Arizona leaders and Leo Cohen of the Lordsburg lodge. Several cars traveled from Lordsburg.

Officials praised the landing facilities and noted prospective visits by more ships due to easy repairs and the airport’s cordial reception. Boy Bitten by Dog Near Rodeo Hospitalized

The ten year old son of Mr and Mrs Frank Eaton of Rodeo was bitten by a dog that dashed into the street. He was taken to DeMons Hospital for a day of surgical care and will likely recover with no lasting complications.

Mrs Frank Borglum widow of the late Dr Borglum, brother of a famed sculptor, visited Lordsburg Sunday with her son Wendell Borglum of Austin Minn. He flew to Tucson for the funeral of my father. Republican Sound Truck Campaign Tour Through Hidalgo County

Joseph H Langhan and driver Salazar of Albuquerque traveled with a Republican sound truck stopping in Lordsburg overnight and moving toward Deming.
