Mavericks Edge Wildcats with Second Quarter Surge
The Mavericks scored only in the second quarter as Deming’s offense sparked a late push. Key plays included George Rodriguez passing to Hector Sanchez for a nine yard gain, Sanchez carrying to the one, and Joe Tarango starting a drive from the nine. Delays and penalties muddled the sequence as the Wildcats seized momentum late.
