City OKs $70 Million Tax Exempt Bonds
The Lordsburg city council voted unanimously to issue seventy million dollar tax exempt bonds at the request of Phelps Dodge Corporation. Mayor Koff said the plan carries no cost to the city and that the council cannot lose as the company works to expand operations.
