Last Saturday night Marshal Charles Gooner arrested Pinelio Acosta Pete Carrion Clemente Malaiz and Ghili Gonzales for being drunk and disorderly. All four men were fined. On Sunday night the marshal arrested Monkyo and Hi Heep for drunkenness and disturbing the peace, both fined. Two others were recently arrested and received ninety day county jail sentences. Mr. Conner is using these two in working the streets.

Secret Service and Sheriff Raid Counterfeit Outfit
Forrest V. Sorrela of the Secret Service and Sheriff Onecar Allen, via a search warrant from the U S Commissioner, uncovered a counterfeiting operation in a tent northwest of town. They detained Wiley Ward, who lived with his destitute family, and Ward pleaded guilty to passing notes but not guilty to making them. He was bound over in 1000 as bail pending trial.
