Pooley Addresses Lions on Communist Threat at Legion Hall

El Paso Herald-Post editor E. M. Pooley spoke to the Zone Social of the Lions at the American Legion Hall on Monday. He warned against complacency toward Communism, noting Berlin gains by the Russians contrasted with China and urging vigilance at home and abroad. Deputy Governor Ivan Johnson and Zone Chairman Martin Windhomer shared short remarks. The German Band from the high school performed, the Legion and Auxiliary served the meal, and George Harding presided as toastmaster.
