Local Woman Feted On 101st Birthday In Lordsburg
Viola Wright celebrated her 101st birthday with family and friends at the American Motor Inn on May 21. A letter from President Nixon was presented, with attendees including Pearl Gauthier and the Gauthier family. Wright, born in Pearsall Texas in 1872, lived in New Mexico most of her life, running a hotel at Animas Station until 1945. See BYPASS on page 16.
