Annual Music Festival Set at Central Gym
The Lordsburg Schools present the 3rd Annual Music Festival in the Central School Gymnasium Friday night featuring the Junior High and Senior High bands as well as a combined group of more than 200 students. Lordsburg Band Parents Club hosts a social hour after the concert with a small admission charge for attendees. The festival is directed by Mrs Thelma Ross and Mr Roger Brandt and is free to the public with a small gate fee.

Seventy Present For Fly-in Breakfast At Lordsburg
A Sunday May 15 fly-in breakfast in Lordsburg drew around seventy attendees. About twenty planes from El Paso Santa Rita and Las Cruces landed, including Tri-pacers Cessnas Beechcraft Bonanza Airco and a Stinson. Local pilots and women pilots from the El Paso Ninety Nine Flying Club helped transport visitors from the airport to Kirby Cafe.

Bobby Clark son of Mr and Mrs Robert Clark arrived home Wednesday afternoon about 3 30 P M accompanied by his mother flew in by four Beechcraft Bonanza from Flondo California The trip took about four hours longer due to refueling at Safford weather required higher altitude and more fuel thus the extra stop at Safford before reaching Lordsburg Bobby gained about 18 pounds while at Hondo and looks greatly improved.
