Traffic Bureau Releases March Statistics
The Transportation Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau reports 32 fatal accidents in March causing 38 deaths. For January to March 1983 there were 79 fatal accidents and 93 deaths. Of the fatalities 72 were in motor vehicle crashes, 17 pedestrians, three motorcyclists, and one bicyclist. San Juan County shows 17 deaths, up from nine in 1982.
