Superintendent EB Dawson and engineer A H Simpson say the Pacific Copper Company’s Bonney property now ships over two carloads of ore daily. ore bodies run 4 to 18 feet wide with 4 to 7 percent copper and 4 to 15 ounces silver per ton, plus up to 2 ounces gold. They plan to sink to the 700 foot level starting June 1, increasing labor from 45 to 85 and hiring more after taking Shelly Fairly Jones lease.

It notes spending eighty eight million dollars in 1481 miles of new lines over the past fifteen years and that in the last five years it built more lines than any other U S railroad. A round trip sale and a radio jubilee program with cash prizes for youths under eighteen are planned to celebrate.
Judge Carl P. Duniton disposed of Hi dalgo County court work swiftly. Leo Hicks was found guilty of transporting liquor while carrying a deadly weapon, receiving three to fifteen years at Santa Fe. Macedonia Rodriguez was found guilty for handling a gun in a threatening manner, sentenced to three months in county jail with suspension. A civil case set for May 13 aims to finish April docket.
Mira Ruth Nichols, famed American aviatrix from New York, arrived in Lordsburg with aviation country clubs representatives to promote nationwide organization. The party toured Lordsburg airport and stayed at Hotel Hidalgo, praising the city and boosting aviation interest as part of a national tour.

The party made Lordsburg a night stop on their upstate trip.

The Road Forks Camp Ground, 17 miles southwest of Lordaburg, is now owned by Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Gary and Miss Margaret Austin. The sisters plan white alabaster structures with trees, shrubbery, flowers, and ample water for lawns. Mrs. Gary already hosts a strawberry patch and the Broadway of America Association endorses the beautification.
D. A. Man and J. 8. Bock from the Department of Agriculture inspected the western station last week and praised the handling by Mr. Waugh and associates. Dinty Moore and his wife also visited recently to arrange further improvements for the station.
