City Council Tightens Dog Control and Licensing Rules
The council passes four new dog control provisions at the monthly meeting. Dogs must be confined or muzzled and may be seized from private property. impounded dogs stay five days before humane disposal. Licenses require rabies vaccination, cost $1, and apply to dogs three months old or older. Penalties include fines up to 25 dollars or 90 days in jail.

Lordsburg Pre-Registration Set For Young Children
Pre-registration for children born in 1965 and 1966 will be held at Lordsburg elementary schools on May 12 and 13 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Birth certificates and health records are required. Parents with kindergartners or first graders already enrolled do not need to register again. The sessions aim to inform immunization requirements and aid next year's planning.
