Grand Matron Visits Home Chapter in New Mexico

Lordsburg Chapter No. 30, C. FE. 8, hosts the 1925 official visit of Mrs. Anna M. Chase who is honored as head of the Grand Chapter of New Mexico. Myrtle Austin and officers receive praise from the Grand Matron and candidates Mr. and Mrs Doyle Coward of Separ. Mexican Black Cats Beat Deming Tigers

The Lordsburg Black Cats, an all Mexican boys team, defeated Deming Tigers by scoring seven runs while limiting the visitors to two. The first four innings left the score 6 to 0 in favor of Lordsburg.

Crosses Entertain Bell Guests Before Mining Trip

County Clerk and Mrs. B. H. Cross hosted a dinner for Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bell prior to their departure for Pinos Altos where Bell holds mining interests. On May Day Mrs. Cross hosted 35 children with baskets of candy for each guest.
