The legislature raised about 25 million dollars and adopted a general appropriations bill near 225 million for the fiscal year starting July 1. City to review two bids for 100 low rent housing units

Burglary Charges Filed Against Two Suspects
Hidalgo County magistrate court filed burglary charges against Ignacio Apolin ar and Tommy Earl Hilliard for theft from Johnson's store window Monday night. Apolinar, 26, and Hilliard, 22, were arrested in Deming and Hidalgo, respectively. Police noted the window was broken at 11 24 p m and items stolen including a movie camera, a still camera and an electric shave, all of which were recovered.
