Cattleman Of The Year Honor For Sherwood Culberson

Election Slated For Convention in New Mexico
The bill sponsored by Senator Odis Echols Jr provides a June 17 election to elect one nonpartisan delegate per 70 House districts, filing May 1, and an August 5 convention start. A second election on the delegates' document would occur 45 to 60 days after adjournment, between November 20 and December 5, with $250,000 for the convention and additional sums for election costs and county expenditures. A convention facilities planning commission is also created.
