P. T. Association Monday Evening Meeting Recap

The Parent Teacher Association held its regular Monday evening session with Mrs. J. L. Wells presiding. County Agent J. G. Koegler spoke on New Mexico agricultural zones and home beautification, naming plants and grasses for the region. The program included multiple musical performances and a presentation on art excerpts from Fremont Ellis, with Nomination Committee named by Mrs. Wells.

Death of Baby Isadel in Lordsburg

The two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs BRR Vallee Wisconsin tourists visiting Lordsburg died after a brief illness. She was buried in Mountainview cemetery Thursday afternoon with T A Phillips Christian church minister officiating and Jack Heather funeral director. The Vallees thanked local residents for sympathy and aid.

Henry Meldrun Tsernett born in Canada February 4 1867 died in Lordsburg March 14 1924. He came to this country in 1881. He leaves a wife Emma Moser six children and many friends grieving his passing. Funeral services were held at Christina church Saturday March 15 with Pastor Phillips preaching. Jack Heather was funeral director.

Lucky Ford Tipover Near Ranch Roadside

Mr and Mrs KK W Larremore and R W Sanders found a Ford overturned beside the road Monday morning on their ranch approach. After rescuing it, the windshield remained the main damage with the rest of the car largely unharmed.

Heather Named Contractor For Up-To-Date Store

The Up-To-Date Grocery Company awarded the building contract to local connector Jack Heather. Work will start immediately west of the current store, with a one story structure featuring battlements, plate glass, and set-in doors.
