Bitle Ranch Becomes Big Farm
The Valley area welcomes the transformation of Bitle Ranch into a large farming operation led by Henry Boone. The 1000 acre tract yields 1200 to 2000 gallons per minute of artesian water to irrigate cleared land. The Myers brothers, Curtis O. Myers and R. K. Myers, operate Tornillo Texas while Mr. Boone oversees pumps powered by Cadillac motors. Local residents anticipate electric power lines to aid development as cotton, hygeria, corn and beans are planted.

The Douglas High School band with Vigilantes and local citizens visit Lordsburg New Mexico for a street show between 10:00 and 10:30 Saturday March 19. Sponsored by the Vigilante Committee of the Douglas Rodeo Association and the Good Will Committee of the Douglas Chamber of Commerce in connection with the Douglas Frontier Rodeo in Douglas on April 2 and 3. A similar show is planned at San Simon Arizona between 11:00 and 11:30 Bowie between 11:30 and 12:00 and Willcox between 12:30 and 1:00.
