The U S Treasury Department is seeking owners of certain guns in Hidalgo County for registration with First National Bank of Lordsburg assisting. Las Cruces man L G Mayfield said full automatic guns and barrels under 18 inches are illegal unless registered. Magic Program Slated Friday at High School
Dr. Murray Holt, son of a China medical missionary, will perform an hour and a half magic show at the High School Auditorium next Friday March 2 at 8 p.m. Sponsored by the Maverick staff, tickets cost 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for children. The performer, who spent 15 years in the Orient, promises more than 60 effects and predicts the audience will believe in magic after one show.
