The longtime Chicago White Sox figure Charles A. Comiski visited Lordsburg for a brief stay during spring training. He traveled with a party including a nephew at the wheel and a trained nurse accompanying him. The piece notes his age and continued involvement with baseball.
The chief of police, in California, investigated a New York stolen car case when a driver offered a model A Ford couch for 176. Mrs. James Stephenson and sons Hugh Manuel visit Hachita from old Mexico while Margaret Peterson cares for the Fitch household. March brings strong winds.

Manager C A Slater Mrs W F Winters Maurice Conner and Albert Bayes attended a safety meeting at the Silver City office on Tuesday evening March 0th Mrs Bayes accompanied her husband. Addresses were given by Marvin Fuller chief electrician O Cone company El Paso Mr Robinson Syracuse Washing Machine ALF Wireiweig and Martin Michel division manager.

The final contest for the annual state high school music meet will be at New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts on April 17 and 18. District elimination contests precede it at various sites including Hobbs Santa Fe Albuquerque Silver City Artesia Clovis Tucumcari and Carrizozo. the Clovis contest may not be held this year.
Mrs. Walter Boswell entertained two tables of bridge on Friday afternoon. Mrs. S Eddie Allen won high score with Mrs. Roy H Evans second. Guests included Mesdames John S Clark E Eddie Allen E Jack Heather E M Luckie Robert Prugle and Ernest J Short. Refreshments were served.

Ralph and Rolland Davis of Iowa staged a non motor non wheel stop endurance drive in a Ford Model A ord named The City of Des Moines. After 2775 hours 46 minutes they halted at the east capitol entrance in Des Moines covering 47138.93 miles across varied roads and weather surpassing the prior non stop record by 33680 miles. Governors, officials, and engineers witnessed the stop noting the car showed little wear and could have racked up another 60000 miles.
Heather entertained her bridge club and guests Monday afternoon with four tables in play. High score among guests went to Mrs. Bill Graham and top club score to Mrs. Eddie Allen. Refreshments followed. six special guests attended.
Mrs. Eddie Allen hosted a March 7 birthday party at her home for her niece Lillian Dawyer turning ten. Guests enjoyed games and Kodak pictures, with ice cream and cake and many gifts for the honoree.
Mrs Gleason entertained a bridge party Tuesday evening at her home with two tables. Mrs Reddus won high for ladies and Richard Tatsch high for men. Guests included Mrs S Jack Heather Mrs A Keddus Mrs Harold Ehrhardt Mr and Mrs Richard Tatsch and Frank Tatsch. Refreshments were served.
Miss Amy Williams of Duncan Arizona was crushed to death when an over turned car toppled onto her on the Duncan Clifton highway Sunday. Her sister and a Mr Henderson of Duncan escaped injury while friends in Lordsburg mourn her untimely death.
Mrs J B Allen entertained the N T Club Tuesday afternoon at her home. Guests included Mesdames Eddie Allen Geo P Jeffus A W Morningstar Elbert Jones Walter Boswell E M Luckie Chas Fuller S M Chase W H Small and Ed Lewis.
Mrs Farle Kerr and Mrs Ronald Egon traveled to El Paso on Thursday to visit relatives. Kerr is guest of her sister Pearl Hardin and Egon visits two sisters who live there.
Miss Helen Anderson and Lester Parsons of Bedrock united in marriage February 26 1931 by Justice of the Peace C W Marsalis. They were accompanied by the bride's mother and sister.
