Chamber Of Commerce Seeks New Manager And Reports Banquet
The Lordsburg Hidalgo County Chamber of Commerce begins accepting applications for a new chamber manager as retiring Glenn Dorsett sets June first retirement. A training session in Albuquerque is planned for May with a May 1 deadline. Dorsett announced Citizen of the Year banquet results: receipts 786.50 expenses 539.15 plus a 35 bill outstanding, the largest turnout and receipts to date. Plans advance for 25 000 full color brochures funded by lodger tax with 2946 cost. Dorsett attends tourism meetings in Las Cruces and El Paso with trips set for March 23 and a future May mailing.
