Navy Men Injured in Arizona Car Wreck
Two Navy men traveling in a 1947 Pontiac from San Diego to New York were injured on Arizona State Highway 86, 19 miles west of Lordsburg, when the driver, M. Knowlton, fell asleep and lost control. Knowlton suffered head cuts and a twisted ankle. Hidalgo hospital treated him. Novotny had deep leg and hand cuts and did not go to the hospital.

Three-Vehicle Crash Kills One Injures Several
On Friday February 24 at 5 30 p m a three car collision on Highway 80 two and a half miles west of town left one dead and several injured. J G Stecker of Batavia New York drove a 1948 Chevrolet eastward unharmed. Joseph Ziehler 1948 Buick sustained a fractured arm. his son Anthony a broken nose and cut lip. Charles Zeeman and wife traveling with mother in law in a 1949 Mercury suffered severe facial lacerations and other injuries. Mrs Zeeman was treated at Hidalgo County Hospital. Zeeman and mother in law were bruised and shaken.

Phoenix Fire Loss Figures Shared By Lion Club Speaker

The Lordsburg Independent Order of Odd Fellows degree team conferred the first second and third degrees on candidates from Deming Bayard and Lordsburg at a Saturday meeting in the Knights of Pythias hall.
