Luncheon Club hears Division Superintendent’s rail career tale

Chairman J. L. Wells presided as the Luncheon Club drew the largest crowd in weeks. Division Superintendent L. A. Morris recalled starting his railroad career forty years ago and outlined industry challenges while praising regional mining and transport, with remarks by W. C. Whatley and H. C. Walter. Jeffus welcomed guests and slated M. A. Codding as next week’s chairman at Manhattan.

Theatre Party of Many Relatives Sees Phantom at Star Theatre

Friday evening a large theatre party, consisting of relatives, attended The Phantom of the Opera at Star Theatre. The group included numerous Dunagan and Conner families from Animas and Los Angeles, among others, with a long list of relatives named.

On March 1 Frank Corbell was replaced as heat patrol foreman by J A Holling due to administrative change. Mr Rolling Kane expected to become assistant maintenance chief under Frank Reed. Lordsburg still shines for public schools as a high school play drew the largest audience in town theatre history.
