Archeologist Discusses Southwest Prehistoric Inhabitants
Dr. Erick K. Reed regional archaeologist for the National Park Service spoke at a conservation workshop at New Mexico Western College on June 13. He described Sands and Folsom peoples pre 1100 A D noting scarce skeletons but arrowheads and pottery as evidence. He also covered the Pueblo between 1100 and 1400 A D and their higher civilization, and noted most archaeologists agree man came to America from Siberia via the Bering Strait.
