Quiet Week Reported by County City Sheriff

Sheriff Billy Darnell notes a quiet week for county and city law enforcement. August 7 to 11 will feature a joint training for correctional officers covering jail procedures for both male and female prisoners. Arrests last week included Jerry D Foster for armed robbery and vehicle theft, Eusebo Ramirez for DWI, William Smith for falsely obtaining services, Dwight Escobar on a commitment, Frederick Jahnke and Lawrence Johnson for disorderly conduct, and Thomas Jefferson Wilson for burglary of a motor vehicle and minor larceny.

Plans Made For Three Wheel Rodeo

The Lordsburg Hidalgo Chamber of Commerce sponsors a 4th of July Three Wheeler Rodeo at Short Park Practice Field starting 1:00 PM. Prizes include $50 first place, trophies, and ribbons per division by bike size. Entry fees are $5 before July 1 and $7.50 after. all riders must register by July 3, 5:00 PM at 1000 S Main.
