A three site vandalism spree punctured tires on 10 vehicles Tuesday night. One car at Mrs. U F Miller’s home had all four tires punctured and two cars at Mrs. Lindsay’s home were damaged. police say an ice pick was used. City Council Rejects Low Rent Housing Plan in Lordsburg
At a special session the Lordsburg City Council voted to tell HUD the city will not proceed with the low rent housing project. Opponents argued 100 new rental homes are unnecessary while Mayor Betty Lazar cited adverse effects on private rentals and a small local demand. The vote carried to advise HUD of infeasibility as several council members supported the move.
