Bensley Aims For 1988 Olympic Rifle Team

Todd Bensley a Lordsburg resident and 1984 Olympian remains among about eighty five shooters seeking one of the U S rifle and pistol or moving target slots for the 1988 Olympic Shooting Team. He has trained at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for two years and competes in Running Game Target with .22 caliber rifles at 50 meters against a moving life size boar target.

Lordsburg High 1978 reunion plans announced

Plans for the Lordsburg High School Class of 1978 ten year reunion run July 1 to 4. Friday registration at La Fiesta 7 PM. Saturday features a high school tour at 10 AM, a banquet at 5:30 PM, and a La Fiesta dance. Sunday family picnic at KP grounds at 11 AM. Todd’s shooting credentials listed include 1984 Olympics participation and 1987 Pan American silver, with Beasley slated for the 1988 Olympic shooting team selection in Chino California.

Activities Scheduled For Fourth In Lordsburg

The Fourth of July in Lordsburg includes a mushball tournament a seven mile run and a municipal swimming pool open with food and game booths. Booth space is available via City Hall. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and City of Lordsburg a fireworks show closes the day at dusk.
