The Lordsburg City Council, in a non decision making session on Monday, June 17, failed to reach a quorum with five members needed. Mayor Salvador Diaz Jr. opened at 6:30 pm as four council members attended while five are required, city clerk Irene Galvan notes. Mark Grady of Region V Housing Authority discussed the recent approval of ten Section 8 certificates by the local authority.

Roberto Aguilar Barboza, 61, of Lordsburg, died Wednesday at his home after a long resident career there since 1973. He served as Animal Control Officer for the City and was a member of St. Joseph's Church. He leaves a wife Maria Valenzuela Barboza, one son Louie, eight daughters, and 17 grandchildren. Cremation by Baca's Mimbres Crematorium.

Permanent Entry To Playas Road Gained In Court Ruling
