Closing Exercises for Class of 1921 at Public School

The Public School held its 1921 closing exercises at the Christian Church with 19 graduates. Speakers praised teachers, parents, and religious values as the class, led by salutatorian Clay Fuller and valedictorian Edward Gries, looked to higher schooling amid a strong community turnout.

Need for Constructive Workers Emphasized at Diploma Day

A graceful speech by NB Ownby of the Board of Education praised the past year as the most successful in the county. After diplomas were presented, Alfred Brunk gave the benediction while faculty and participants received congratulations from attendees.

Eighth grade girls honor Beryl Wood with reception

Mrs. D. L. Will hosted a delightful reception and luncheon for the eighth grade girls in honor of Beryl Wood's birthday. Decoration and luncheon reflected the gold and purple class colors. Jewell Ownby, Johnnie Tyson, and Genevieve Bailey won prizes in the guessing game. Each girl received a string of beads with the guest of honor given a vanity. Other attendees included Annie Bartlett and Marguerite Nystrom.

Jolly Camping Trip To Cave Creek

A lively week long camping party traveled from Hodeo to Cave Creek with a return to Lordsburg visiting the XVT ranch and Muir raners. Chaperones included Mrs Turner and Mrs John T. Engineer Storke Joins Benidicts in Lordsburg Wedding

Lordsburg welcomes engineer Mr. Storke and his wife Miss Mary Rice after their June wedding. The couple, tied to the Last Chance Mining Company staff, reside on South Main Street. Storke served with the ith Engineers overseas in distinguished service to the government.

Last Chance Mine Taken Over by Denver Syndicate

A Denver formed syndicate led by J HW White and others on June 7 plans to take over the Last Chance mine near Lordsburg. They aim to develop several hundred feet, install plant and a new mill if development warrants. Mace has operated the mine. work includes open drills, two adits, and underground teams led by JU White and A D Storke.

Eleasney Holt wedding at Derning Presbyterian Church
