A four year old boy Melvin Phillips son of J W Phillips a local painter drowned Saturday afternoon in Lake south of the town. He attempted to cross to borrow a knife from a fisherman and disappeared. A large search found the body in five feet of water. The boy was buried Sunday at Terrace Cemetery.
