State Police Debut 55 MPH Radar Unit in New Mexico
Officers Junior Luna and Jim Sides announce a STOP program radar unit to enforce the 55 mph limit across interstates. The unit, funded with 81,000 dollars from the New Mexico Traffic Safety Commission, began operation June 1 with goals to cut speeding by 10 percent in year one.
