One of Lordsburg's two garbage trucks is back in service after a replacement transmission from California. Mayor Clark Smith says the second truck serves as a weekly backup and will return to service once a distributor part arrives. Transmission cost was 2400 dollars and all work was completed at the City shop.
Charles David Dunagan 26 of Animas died Sunday May 29 as a car passenger in an incident involving a friend. He worked in construction and lived in Alberta, Canada. The Board of Education of Lordsburg Municipal Schools will meet Tuesday June 7 at 7 00 p m in the Board Room Lordsburg for the regular monthly session.
