Local Postmaster Advised Of Job Termination
Lordsburg postmaster Donald McGhee received a letter from the Post Office Department notifying him his postmaster position is terminated at a date to be advised. The reason cited was failure to follow instructions. This is the second notice this year. an earlier order was rescinded after an appeal to the Postmaster General. An appeal is filed with the U S Civil Service Commission. McGhee remains on duty until a termination date is set. McGhee, a Republican, was appointed in March 1959 during the Eisenhower administration.

School Bus Drivers Institute Opens August 26 in Silver City
