Lordsburg Listed in National Air Races Prize Fund

The National Air Races and Aeronautical Exposition in Los Angeles September 8 to 16 will feature more than 125000 in cost prizes plus additional cash awards and trophies. Donor Elizabeth Miller of Cleveland adds 5000 cash and a Tiffany trophy to the transcontinental races. About 1500 planes and 5000 pilots are expected, with 400 manufacturers showing equipment. Nine control cities including Lordsburg New Mexico will cooperate and prize the New York to Los Angeles derbies.

Jones Home Welcomes Ritchie Family Visit

M James Ritchie and his young son Thomas Alexander are visiting his parents Mr and Mrs L R Jones for several weeks. Her husband works for the Texas Louisiana Power Company and is traveling to large contracts, currently at Wink, Texas. The Joneses also host Mrs Sullivan and her daughter Mary of San Saba, visiting from California.
