Drugs Smuggled Into Inmate At County Jail
Sheriff reports drugs found in Kimala Anne Minard Bailey’s jail cell including Crank and a syringe with needle marks. Kelly Rex Green, 33, Box 159 Tyrone NM, charged with bringing contraband into jail. Bailey charged with armed robbery of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson on June 13. Balloons from 10 crews converge for a two day event starting Friday at the Elks Lodge with a 6:00 p.m. gathering and sponsor pilots meeting at daybreak Saturday at Dugan Tarango track. Flights begin about 6:00 a.m. Saturday, ending at the dry lake beds with a ground X contest. Saturday noon features a burger fry and festivities including a three wheel rodeo and horse shoe tournament, followed by a La Fiesta dance with Country River Band. Chamber president A C Rodriguez urges Hidalgo County to support what may become an annual regional festival to boost community interest.
