The group rode in a Ford to a dance at the Harry School house eight miles from Gold Hill. Attendees included Emma McWhorter Guy Foster Marie McDaniel Beulah Creamer and the hosts.
W A Brand immigration inspector filed a charge of harboring aliens against Blas Noche before Justice W Marsalis. Noche allegedly furnished food lodging and transportation to two Spaniards unlawfully in the U S. The Spaniards were ordered deported in Tucson after being picked up in Clifton. Noche was held on bond to await the Federal Court in Santa Fe.
The Woman's Missionary Society of Lordsburg adopted resolutions of respect at its Friday meeting. They expressed sympathy to the bereaved family, ordered the resolution entered into minutes, and forwarded a copy to the family. Signed by C B Wagner, Superintendent of Publicity.
The Star Theatre announces a week of films starting Sunday July 22 Hearts Heaven a Hodkinson Picture. Borderland Agnes Ayers A Goldwyn Picture Beauty Shop plus Buffalo Bill Days and a two reel comedy Spooky Romance. A Thursday Friday special features Pola Negri in One Arabian Night with desert dancer spectacle. Ticket prices 28 and 55 cents.
Children aged four to eight from several classes met Tuesday morning at Mrs. Fisher’s. They cut pictures colored them and played games. Illness at Mrs. Winglett’s home caused the kindergarten group to join. Next week the group will meet at Mr. N J Beott’s home. Mrs Clayton’s class at the church does art crafts.

Last Sunday Mr and Mrs Love A Jones announced the marriage of their daughter Cocella Jones to Medw Pedrick of Berkeley California. The couple kept the romance secret until a surprise telegram revealed the July fourteen ceremony. The bride plans to continue studies at Berkeley until term end, then they will honeymoon to Fall River Kansas and return to Lordsburg to make their home.
At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Wright a rare family reunion gathered all eight Wright children for the first time in over thirty years.
