Captain Cain of Deming will visit next Tuesday night to receive applications from eight young men to join the cavalry unit at Fort Bliss encampment. He wishes to meet as many applicants as possible to discuss the matter and to leave a switch with Frank McCarthy.
Miss Norman Brown spoke at the Methodist Church on law enforcement. She praised Senator Robinson and Senator Curtis, endorsed Sloover over Smith on liquor policy, and noted her votes in past elections and for Davis before. Reverend John Rice chaired the meeting with an attentive audience.
