A private car train led by Commodore Arthur Curtis James and associates visits Lordsburg to inspect railroad and mining interests. Six C. A. players and three spectators were defeated by the Onion Growers San Sunon team. The score was 6 to 1 in the last of the sixth when rain halted play. De La Garza and two infielders failed to arrive on time. A return game is set for the 18th.

Banks Blair wedding unites Bisbee residents in formal ceremony

Robert Blair, a Bisbee mining man and Knights of Pythias member, married Miss Manve Banks, also of Bisbee, by Judge Marsalis on Tuesday evening. The couple returned home yesterday and the bride, who lived here fourteen years ago, later visited Valedon to greet former friends.

Landlord Kemp Family Rapid Trip to Los Angeles

Old-Timer Neiderkorn Reunites With Friends In El Paso

M F Neiderkorn, once a key figure in the 8 free, greeted friends in El Paso and Val Verde. He and Crowdus sold their Pecos power plant for over a hundred thousand and bought the El Paso Ice Cream company, soon to sell its product locally. Barney Huches accompanied them.

Safford Edges Big Bear Cats In Holiday Game

The Big Bear Cats played Safford Monday afternoon in a lively baseball clash ending 5 to 7 in favor of Safford. Sackell and Morgan starred for the home team with strong support, while a disputed umpiring ruling kept the game closer at 5 to 5 before Safford pulled ahead.

Sesqui Centennial Tributes At Star Theatre In Lordsburg

A Lordsburg observance marked the sesqui centennial with a flag drill by lower grade pupils led by Mrs. T A Phillips and Mrs Long. Readings and talks on the Declaration of Independence and liberty followed, with Rev Wm Vo Williams and others delivering addresses. The program closed with The Star Spangled Banner as the audience joined the children. The Liberal camera photographed the event.
